Carlos Tevez landed a goal 2 times – once on a disputed goal – and Gonzalo Higuain added another as the Albiceleste defeat Mexico 3-1 on Sunday to go into the quarterfinals.

The second goal, landed by Tevez by proceeding in a pass from Lionel Messi in the 26th minute, was a problem. Tevez was plainly offside when he butted it in. But the referee awarded the goal after consulting with his linesman while surrounded by upset Mexican and Argentine players.

The Albiceleste has claimed this competition and is now one game nearer to the World Cup gambling finals. They’ve moved on to the quarterfinals where they are going to play against Germany.
